Two men will stand trial in Egypt for running a “transnational criminal organisation” behind illegal sports piracy site Streameast, according to law enforcement officials in the North African country.
The Athletic broke the news in September that the men were arrested on the outskirts of Cairo following a year-long investigation into a network of over 120 domains with an annual audience of 1.6 billion, the largest to have been taken down by authorities.
